-
Thou shalt not expect to find things as thou
hast them at home, for thou hast left thy home to find things different.
-
Thou shalt not take anything too seriously for
a carefree mind is the beginning of a fine retirement.
-
Thou shalt not let other people get on thy nerves,
for thou art paying good money for a good time.
-
Remember thy VISA so that thou knowest where
it is at all times.
-
Remember to take only half the clothes you think
you need and twice the amount of money.
-
Remember, if we were expected to stay in one
place we would have been created with roots.
-
Thou shalt not worry. He that worrieth hath
no pleasure. Few things are ever fatal.
-
Thou shalt not judge the people of a country
by the person with whom thou hast had trouble.
-
Thou shalt not make thyself too obviously American,
British, or Canadian. “When in Rome do somewhat as the Romans do.”
-
Remember thou art a guest in every land and
that he that treateth his host with respect shall in turn be treated as
an honoured guest.
(These ten commandments
were taken from the menu at Salty's Restaurant in Penticton, BC)
Every year we go to Salty’s.
For those of you who have never been there; it’s a restaurant in Penticton.
I really like Salty’s because it’s on the beach and it’s very interesting.
Salty’s has a pirate theme and the coolest decorations. The bathrooms are
named “Wahine” for women and “Kane” for men.
The first time we went there I told dad “Wahine”
was the men’s bathroom. He went in and all the girls started screaming!
Nathe and I couldn’t stop laughing.
If you’re in Penticton, I recommend you to
go to Salty’s Restaurant. www.saltysbeachhouse.com
